01 · Controller and scope
Who is responsible for your data?
Race Development is the controller of personal data collected through this website and its coaching enquiries. In US privacy-law terminology, Race Development may also be the business or controller where an applicable state law uses those terms.
This policy is designed to describe processing under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), related European privacy rules, and applicable comprehensive US state privacy laws. Rights and obligations can differ by location, the type of information involved, and whether a law's coverage thresholds are met.
02 · Information
What we collect and where it comes from.
| Category | Examples and source |
|---|---|
| Identifiers and contact information | Name, email address, IP address and other details you submit or that your browser sends when requesting the site. |
| Coaching and service information | Chosen coach, package, simulator, car, circuit, goals, availability and session communications supplied by you. |
| Internet and device information | Browser type, requested URL, date, time and security records created by the website or hosting infrastructure. |
| Commercial records | Bookings, invoices and transaction records if booking and payment functions are enabled. |
| Communications and feedback | Messages, voluntary testimonials and other material you choose to provide. |
We do not intentionally request sensitive or special-category information such as health data, precise geolocation or government identifiers. Please do not submit sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary and agreed in advance.
03 · Purpose
Why personal data is used.
| Purpose | Typical EU/EEA legal basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to enquiries and helping you select a service. | Steps requested before a contract and legitimate interests in customer communication. |
| Scheduling, delivering and following up coaching. | Performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract. |
| Managing payments, invoices and required records. | Performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations. |
| Keeping the website secure, preventing abuse and diagnosing faults. | Legitimate interests in providing a safe and reliable service. |
| Publishing optional testimonials, images or marketing communications. | Consent where consent is requested. |
Race Development does not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, use it for targeted advertising, or offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information. Contact-form details are not used for unrelated marketing.
04 · Infrastructure
Website hosting through Hostinger.
This website is intended to be hosted through Hostinger. The relevant Hostinger group entity acts as a processor or service provider for customer data handled on Race Development's behalf under Hostinger's data processing agreement. Hosting may involve IP addresses, page requests, server and security logs, and information stored by any forms or services deployed on the hosting account.
Hostinger may use approved subprocessors to provide infrastructure and support. The precise hosting location depends on the hosting account and server configuration, so this policy does not claim a specific data centre. Hostinger publishes its Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Policy.
06 · Storage
Retention and security.
- General or unsuccessful enquiries: normally up to 12 months after the conversation ends.
- Booking and coaching records: while needed to deliver the service and handle reasonable follow-up matters.
- Invoices and transaction records: for the period required by applicable tax, accounting and legal rules.
- Consent records: while consent is relied upon and as needed to demonstrate how it was obtained or withdrawn.
- Security logs and hosting backups: according to operational need, the hosting configuration and provider retention schedules, unless longer retention is needed to investigate an incident.
Records may be kept longer where reasonably needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Race Development uses proportionate organisational and technical safeguards, but no online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
07 · EU and EEA
European data-protection rights.
Subject to the GDPR's conditions and exceptions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out lawfully. Race Development does not currently make solely automated decisions through this website that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
We may need to verify your identity and will normally respond within one month where the GDPR applies, although that period can be extended for a complex request as permitted by law. You can also complain to the data-protection authority in the EU or EEA country connected with your residence, work or the alleged infringement. See the European Commission's rights overview and the European Data Protection Board's authority directory.
08 · United States
US state privacy disclosures and rights.
Comprehensive state privacy laws generally apply only when their coverage requirements and thresholds are met. Where an applicable law gives you these rights, you may be able to request confirmation or access, a portable copy, correction, deletion, and information about categories of data, sources, purposes and recipients. You may also have rights to opt out of sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, appeal a denied request, use an authorised agent, and receive service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.
California notice
During the preceding 12 months, the categories described in What we collect may have been collected from you, your browser or service providers for the purposes described in this policy. Those categories may be disclosed to service providers and contractors for operational purposes. Race Development does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising and does not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.
Because the site does not currently sell data or use it for targeted advertising, there is no opt-out activity to complete through a Global Privacy Control signal. If these practices change, the site and this policy must be updated and applicable browser-based opt-out signals will be honoured.
We may request information reasonably needed to verify a request. An authorised agent may submit a request where permitted, but proof of authority and identity verification may be required.
10 · Children
Children's privacy.
The website is not directed to children under 13, and Race Development does not knowingly collect their personal information without the consent required by US law. If we learn that such information was collected improperly, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Where European law requires parental authorisation for a minor's consent, a parent or guardian must provide it. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child's information using the route below.
11 · Contact and changes
Questions, requests and policy updates.
Submit a privacy question or rights request through the contact page with “Privacy or data request” selected. Please describe the request and the jurisdiction connected with it. Race Development may verify identity before disclosing or deleting information.
This policy may change when the website, providers or legal requirements change. Material updates will be shown on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
